Aims of IBUS are:

1.    to improve the standards of breast imaging for assessing the breast and its pathology,

2.    to provide high-quality courses and interactive workshops covering ultrasound, X-ray mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and other investigative techniques,

3.    to evaluate the role of conventional and newer imaging techniques,

4.    to promote an international forum for the exchange of scientific informations.

The IBUS teaching team always tried to highlight the role of continuous education models in order to improve delivery of imaging procedures for the women and not for the physicians or for the technique itself.
Continuing medical education has been highly recommended by the international faculty in order to improve the performance and routine work of physicians involved in breast diagnosis and management.
With regard to imaging the physicians have a key role in performing imaging and interventional procedures that are essential part of our course programmes.
The IBUS story and the “Success in Education” has only been achieved as a result of the dedication and enthusiasm of numerous individuals.
Until today IBUS has performed 129 Courses with over 10600 participants who, with high quality training programmes with formal lectures, interactive workshops and hands-on, have been enthusiastic.
Thanks to the many colleagues and friends that have contributed to this success and to all participants who have appreciated and will appreciate our teachings and exchange of experiences
